Rumours have been circulating that Long is being investigated since October 2017 when he abruptly resigned from the company, citing work-related problems. Local press reports say he is suspected of accepting bribes.

Changsha-based Hunan TV has a $375m slate financing deal with Lionsgate, signed in 2015, although there is no suggestion the agreement is also being scrutinised by Chinese authorities. The deal also covers distribution of some Lionsgate films through Hunan subsidiary Tik Films.

During his time as CEO of the company, Long spearheaded its listing on the Shenzhen stock exchange in 1999, helped transform the company into a commercial enterprise and was also instrumental in closing the deal with Lionsgate. He is credited

‘Power Rangers Super Ninja Steel’ Trailer Released

Power Rangers Super Ninja Steel is coming this January 27th and they’ve got an all new look, new zords, and, well, you get it. To be quite honest it’s kind of cool that the Power Rangers are still a hot thing with kids but I didn’t ever think they’d last this long. From what I can recall of the original show people had gotten tired of it after a while since it was a lot of the same thing. Rita or whoever was in charge of the bad guys would send a bunch of foot soldiers to harass the Rangers

Mulan Remake Shoots Soon as Disney Finalizes Production Team

Disney is moving full-steam ahead on their live-action Mulan remake. Key members of the crew have now been put in place as filming is slated to begin later this month. Though no release date has been specified by the studio, Mulan is slated to arrive in 2019 and, with filming taking place very soon, it's possible we could see the movie early on next year, as opposed to seeing it drop in the summer or winter. Though, there are already quite a few live-action remakes coming from the Mouse House next year, so it's going to be a bit crowded.

Niki Caro, best known for her work on the movie Whale Rider, has been tapped by Disney to direct the live-action Mulan. In a new report, it's revealed that Narcos' costume designer Bina Daigeler has been added to the crew. In addition, Sean Andrew Faden (Power Rangers) will serve as

Watch Stranger Things Season 2… in Lego!

Continuing the trend of morphing the biggest film and television shows into Danish bricks, Stranger Things season 2 is the latest to receive the Lego treatment.

Brought to you by the cutely named Netbrix, the video, made by bookshelfproductions, condenses the second season of the smash hit retro horror into key sequences from the show; Hopper dancing in the hideout, Steve’s Farah Fawcett spray life-lessons, and even manages to improve on the seventh episode by making it last just a few seconds.

It’s 1984 and the citizens of Hawkins, Indiana are still reeling from the horrors of the demogorgon and the secrets of Hawkins Lab. Will Byers has been rescued from the Upside Down but a bigger, sinister entity still threatens those who survived.

The second season of Stranger Things sees the return of cast members Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Millie Bobby Brown, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Finn Wolfhard, Noah Schnapp,

New Image of Jason Mamoa as Aquaman and James Wan Calls it a "Classic Revenge Story"

Another new image from James Wan's Aquaman has been released featuring Jason Momoa in the title role. This looks like a similar setting to the previously released photo. I'm very curious about this movie and how it will turn out. I have faith that Wan will deliver a badass movie that will blow fans away. For me, Wan hasn't made a bad movie yet, which is why my expectations are high. When talking about the film with USA Today, he talks about his take on the character, saying:

“He doesn’t quite fit in, but as the story progresses, he realizes he’s the best of both worlds. Circumstances allow him to grow as a human being and then realize the bigger picture of it all and what it means to have these abilities."

He went on to talk about the design of Atlantis how it gave Wan a

The Most Disappointing/Worst Films of 2017... In My Opinion

I like a lot of different kinds of movies. I truly do enjoy the movie-going experience. That is why I write a lot of positive reviews. There are a lot of films out there that I enjoy that a lot of people don't. For example, you might find films like The Dark Tower, King Arthur: Legend of the Sword, Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets, and Ghost in the Shell on a lot of people's "worst of the year" lists. These are films that I actually enjoyed. Yeah, they weren't masterpieces, but I was still entertained by them.

It takes a lot for me not to like a movie. To make my list of worst films, the movie pretty much has to annoy the hell out of me. The ten films listed below managed to do that. These films made me squirm in my seat and cringe as I watched them.

David Harbour is hard at work on his “dad bod” for Stranger Things Season 3

If any of you became worried when David Harbour was cast as Hellboy that he would get too buff for Stranger Things, prepare to be relieved. Speaking to Variety, the actor confirms that, since Hellboy has wrapped production, that he is actively working on his “dad bod” for the eventual third season of Stranger Things:

“I’ve already started the donut training. Six donuts a day! We’ll get there, folks…”

The actor also reflected on what it’s been like to suddenly become a sex-symbol this late in his career thanks to his portrayal as Sheriff Jim Hopper on Stranger Things:

“The fact that I got famous and become a sex symbol around my normal frumpy love-handled self is so gratifying. And dare I say culturally gratifying as well. What makes someone sexy in my mind is who they are. It’s not necessarily how they look.

One request of Harbour’s is that his character gets to team-up with Joe Keery’s Steve, as well as spend time with Gaten Matarazzo’s Dustin, and to explore more of Harbour’s backstory.

“…I do think the internet knows my love for Joe Keery. I would love to see a Hopper and Steve get-together, but I seriously doubt that’s going to happen. I’d love to work with Gaten. I want to get into the backstory of Hopper more. When Eleven goes into the basement, she sees a bunch of boxes,

How Taylor Swift’s ‘Wildest Dreams’ Video Gave Rise to the Year’s Most Provocative Movie

How Taylor Swift’s ‘Wildest Dreams’ Video Gave Rise to the Year’s Most Provocative Movie
For many moviegoers, only one film released in 2017 successfully confronted racial inequality under the guise of mainstream entertainment, and that was “Get Out.” But another movie that fell into that same category has yet to hit theaters. Joseph Kahn’s “Bodied,” an outrageous hip hop satire that screened in the Midnight Madness section of the Toronto International Film Festival, has yet to land a theatrical deal; nevertheless, it topped IndieWire’s annual critics poll as the best undistributed movie of 2017.

The riotous comedy, in which geeky, overeducated white grad student Adam (Calum Worthy) permeates Toronto’s underground rap battle scene, is a blatant provocation: A big part of the movie revolves around Adam’s realization that racial epithets and other seemingly offensive aspects of rap performance are key to his own success in the scene, and that participants regard such button-pushing lyrics as less problematic than his socially-progressive background had led him to believe.
