Trivia

Meg Ryan was the original choice to play Connie, but Alyssa Milano was cast. After she was forced to turn the role down due to her commitment to the TV series Charmed (1998), these actresses were offered the role (and they turned it down too): Jodie Foster (she chose to star in Panic Room (2002)); Kristin Davis (she had a commitment to the TV series Sex and the City (1998)); Portia de Rossi; Kyra Sedgwick; Brooke Shields; Hilary Swank; Kate Winslet Also, Tori Spelling was briefly considered for the role. Even though Josie Davis and Angelina Jolie auditioned for the role, they lost out to Diane Lane. Reportedly, Jennifer Jason Leigh wanted the role too, but this time, it was Adrian Lyne who turned an actress down. See more »

Oscar nominee Diane Lane is seductive and sexy in Unfaithful
23 June 2003 | by See all my reviews

Unfaithful was an extremely powerful movie and was much, much more than what i had expected when i rented the dvd. Diane Lane was the main reason i got this film out because i had heard so many good things about her performance and that she has won the Oscar nomination for best actress in the films main role. Well, the hype was true. The film is excellent and Diane is seductive, sexy and downright awesome as the films main focus. She proves here what many believed before... she is a beautiful and talented star capable of carrying a movie. Richard Gere gives very solid support to her and the films director really knows his game. An all around winner.
